Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq, who had arrived in hot waters after he gave Quetta Gladiators’ Shane Watson an impolite send-off in the last of the fourth version of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has offered a statement of regret to the Aussie all-rounder for the spat.
Imam took to the twitter to apologize to Watson for the verbal spat amid the PSL last at the National Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.
Imam stated: “Yesterday’s episode occurred seemingly out of the blue. My response to Watson’s improper oppressive remarks was avoidable, for which I am sorry.”
The Peshawar Zalmi opening batsman further stated, “It was a decent match and an extraordinary HBL PSL 2019, we should make the most of its prosperity. Well done to Gladiators and Watson for the trophy and grants.”
The occurrence occurred in the third over when Shane Watson was run out and given a send-off by Imamul Haq. Imam pointed him towards the changing area and them two traded words.
